Latest News About Massive tagged great white shark reaches Newfoundland waters

OCEARCH reported that Contender, the largest great white shark tagged in the program at 1,600 pounds, has reached Newfoundland waters. This is the first time a tagged shark from the program has moved into those waters. Contender is the largest shark OCEARCH has tagged on record.

In a separate incident, a surfer was bitten by a shark at Glenfield Beach in Western Australia. Shark attack survivor Leah Stewart said "My heart stopped" as she gave new information about the incident. Scientists also described discovering the world's largest shark.
