Users worldwide report problems with Instagram including sign-in errors and timed-out content. Downdetector data shows a sharp rise in outage reports over the past hours. All the app and website appear affected at once. Meta has still not release a statement about this outage as of 22 July 2026. Reports matching have been noted across its parent platform, Messenger and Instagram at the same time.
