Amanda Stoker has been named as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, replacing Amanda Camm. Camm stepped down from the frontbench because of health concerns. Stoker, a right-wing backbencher, was officially sworn in amid news about a aggressive performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland faces challenges in addressing child safety and domestic violence issues.
